Welcome to another fun filled week.

Auchtermuchty FestivalDue to a very small committee this year we have passed some of our events over to local organisations. They have come up with some great new ideas to make the festival more exciting than ever! Check out Walk n Sizzle and Kids Disco, organised by the Twirlers. Wet and Wild, orgainsed by the Scouts and the Teddy Bears Picnic, organised by the Muchty Monkeys.

New additions this year include a Kids Bike Trail through Pitmedden Forest. Participants meet at Clink Car Park with bikes and helmets! An Under 16 Disco in the Royal Hotel, where we hope to see many young people get together and dance the night away!.
For the adults, a beer tent at the Sunday Funday. We wouldn’t want the mums and dads to get dehydrated in the glorious sunny day we are going to have this year!

Auchtermuchty FestivalOur bus trips this year are a “Mystery” Young at Heart bus trip with high tea for only £10, fantastic value, and our family trip to M&D’s. Although last year’s trip to Alton Towers was great success we have decided to alternate a year at M&D’s with a year to Alton Towers. Places for next year will be offered on the bus to M&D’s first.

Check out the programme for all our old favourites, give these a try and you will be made to feel very welcome; Petanque, Car Treasure Hunt, Road Race, and the Yard of Ale competition at the Cycle Tavern, after the Sunday Funday.

We are always looking for new faces to enter Stars in Their Eyes and the Pram Race. It is always more fun when you take part.
We try our best to cater for everyone and this year that includes your pets. Get them poshed up and bring them along to the pet show at the Sunday Funday. Wonder who will win “Who Looks Most Like It’s Owner?”

Back by popular demand are the CAMS (Cupar Musical Society) in concert with their new show.

Be sure to check out the Muchtie Run and also The Sunday Funday Team Challenge where teams of four warriors representing the pride of Muchty, Strath and Falkland battle it out with the Giant Tire Flip Relay, Hurling the Haggis, Tossing the Caber and the Tug o War Finale for the winner to take the prize.

All tickets and entry forms are available from the Festival Office (the old rent office at the Cross) so get planning and enjoy your week.
